Cat Bed End Table By Sweetgo Assembly Instructions

Who says cat furniture has to be separate from cat parent furniture? We have four feline family members and have had all types of pet furniture that have been added in along the way. You name it, I'm sure we've had it at one point or another. From kitty condo's to cat hammock's, at about every height level imaginable, we've had it.

It's a lot of commitment to have so much cat furniture, especially in a smaller space. Usually, for them to get something new that's bigger in size, we have to get rid of a piece of our furniture. But, do we really have to? No, Thanks to Sweetgo's end table, I get to keep my table and the kitties have a new bed.

I never knew there was a such thing as dual-purpose furniture. We just had an amazing opportunity to work with Sweetgo on a review of their Cat Bed End Table. It is So Cool! It's an end table for me AND a cat bed for Kitties!

A little back story on Hairy A.K.A. Harold (when he's in trouble). He was a shelter kitten and adopted a few years ago by our oldest daughter. He is quite spoiled and sassy, to say the least. He is very opinionated and loves a good snuggle but only on his terms. I have no idea how he has gotten so big but he is one huge kitty!

This spring when quarantine happened we brought home Sophia a.k.a. Rophia, RoRo, Roph, Rosaphina, Kee, and KeKe. She was a kitten needing a loving home that was a little too little to be away from her mom. With the help of our vet and a lot of hard work, she was thriving in no time. Hairy was not so impressed. We started to see how much he enjoyed being the only house kitty.

As soon as Roph was getting big and strong and doing all kinds of kitty things like terrorizing Hairy, we got the call about our two tiny little miracles Buddy a.k.a Fatty Fat Fats or Fats for short, who came to us at 6oz upon arrival and Mary Jane a.k.a. MJ, J Baby, Big girl, and Dragon Lady was a whopping 4oz when she got here. They were tiny and mighty with a fight in them I had never seen in tiny baby kittens. I had never seen kittens that size without a mom. These little babies were orphaned at just a few days old. They weren't found until 2 days after their mom's body was found. 2 days with no food or care but they were alive. We did our best to fight every way we could for them to get stronger.

We started right away with cleaning and bottle feeding. It was a very intense few weeks of around the clock care. I know there were at least 2 weeks that I didn't sleep for more than 2 hours at a time. J Baby wouldn't take the bottle for anyone but me. It was sweet but man, I was tired.

Hairy was just mad by this point and wanted absolutely nothing to do with us or the 3 babies. His once soft meow was set to a low growling rumble. He wouldn't come in during the day and stay on the porch through most of the summer. He refused to stay in. At one point, he ripped out the screen to the living window like a Kool-Aid man.

Here we are, nearly 9 months later and Hairy is just now warming up to these guys. What I mean by warming up is- he doesn't attack them with heavy pawed concussion intentions anymore. They are co-existing pretty well.

While the kittens are full of tiny terrorist activities attacking each other and every ankle that passes by, Hairy is laid back and lazy. He is not the red dot chasing kind. He isn't amused by string, and unless he is chasing one of the kittens, he will not run.

We are so excited about the Sweetgo Cat Bed because it will be a special place for Hairy to chill out and be his own special kitty self without having to share. Even though, I can already picture the three musketeers hijacking the bed within a day.

This table is so cool to me because it is a cat bed that is also an end table. I can put a desk lamp on it or decorative candles and magazines, or whatever my little heart desires and the inside is still a cozy cat bed!

How big is it?

Thinking of the size of a cat bed in comparison to an end table, the sizes are quite different. That's what makes this table so unique. It's both a functional price of furniture for me to use while also being an awesome cat bed for the kitties! It's measurements of 18 in X18 in x 25 in is perfect for me!

How Do I Assemble The Sweetgo Cat Bed End Table- What Do I Need?

The Sweetgo Cat Bed End Table comes very well packaged and each piece is labeled clearly to make the assembly process that much easier. The instructions are very easy to understand with numbered illustrations. All that is needed for assembly is a Phillips head screwdriver. Do not use power tools to assemble it because it might crack the panels.

Step #1

Step one is very simple. Add the bolts to the sides of panels 1 and 2. The screw end goes down into the premade holes with the silicone coated holes. I started them each by hand and used the screwdriver to tighten them down.

Step #2

Step two is also very easy. Use the wooden pegs for every other hole on the wooden panels numbered 3 and 4. You can see how easily they go into place, no tools are needed here. They do not go all the way in, they are used to get a more secure fit when the side goes together. You will add these into the holes that do not have the lock nut holes.

Step #3

Step three, while easy to me, could possibly be a little confusing to someone that hasn't assembled wooden furniture before. Starting with the round lock nuts slide right into the holes. My tip- put them in with the open side towards the hole. It makes it so much easier when putting it together.
Once they are in place, stand up panel #1 with the bolts facing you. I used my wall as a prop to keep it from sliding. Slide panel #3 right up to it matching the holes with the pegs and posts. Use the screwdriver to lock the bolts in place. The wooded dowels will slide into the other holes giving it a secure hold. Repeat that step with the wooden panel #4. Once the sides are all done that will leave you with a "U" shape piece.

Once the sides are all on, you will have a ridge that goes all the way around the inside. Slide the back panel with the circle cut out into that track.

Step #4

Take the last wooden panel, #2, and set it on top of the other pieces. All of the holes and pegs slide perfectly into place on this piece too. Once everything is tightened down, you have the full body assembled.

Step #5

This is a step I was not able to do on my own. My hands are too clumsy. The support pegs are there to reinforce the backing so it doesn't pop out of place.

Step #6

Step six is very simple. This whole end table is easy. Screw in the four legs and they are automatically the right lengths and everything! No level needed!!

Step #7

Add the cushion for the final step. The cushion is a very special one. It has velcro on the bottom to keep it securely in place. The velcro is attached to the bottom of the cushion and has a sticker backing. Peel the sticker backing off and put the cushion in place. Push down in the areas where the sticker is to get a good grip. After that, the cushion can be removed as needed for cleaning. The cover has a zipper closure for easy removal and cleaning.

Step #8

Put your feline friend in the bed and watch them play and nap! I love it!!

I absolutely love this Cat Bed End Table by Sweetgo. It's perfect for kitties and small dogs. It's so easy to put together and very sturdy. I couldn't be happier with it.
