Finding the mask that best suits your needs comes with much trial and error. You want a mask that fits comfortably and protects you from any germs that you may be exposed to during the day. It's confusing and frustrating, to say the least. I have read so many articles on masks in the past few months that it's hard to keep up with which masks they are recommending for daily use. Of course, we all want to be safe. One mask that has been recommended over and over is the N95.
The best-proven protection for everyone is wearing a mask or other type of facial covering/shield. Although I do not like to wear a mask, I do it anyway, every time I go anywhere. I am hoping that everyone else can do the same thing without such a protest. What I would like to say to everyone- If you don't want to wear a mask (or facial shield), there are ways around it. You could always stay home, stay out of public buildings and spaces, order delivery, or curbside delivery. There are ways we can all do this and get back to our regular lives. There is no sense in exposing anyone to your germs or exposing yourself to anyone else's germs. If you don't want to do it for yourself, do it for your parents, kids, grandparents, neighbors, and every other human around you. We can all get through this together.
I am not an essential worker so the only times I leave the house are for doctor appointments, grocery shopping, and pharmacy runs. Our family is trying to do our part in not spreading the virus. We are very conscious of who we have at our house and the places we visit so we can keep our exposure risk as low as possible. We have family members and elderly people that we visit that is very high risk and we want to keep everyone safe.

If you are wondering what is so awesome about the N95 mask and why it is so highly recommended, check out this:
NIOSH APPROVED N95 Masks (TC Approval Number 84A-7447), listed on the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) list of approved N95 Particulate Filtering Facepiece Respirators. N95 Face Mask with filter efficiently filters 95% of airborne particles free of oil, the best way to protect yourself, preventing the spread of infectious diseases.
The N95 Respirator Mask that we just got has some very awesome features. It is definitely my favorite of all of the disposable masks that we have seen so far.
Features that we like:
Soft nose guard- The nose guard is so nice. It's a black strip that goes across the nose bridge and keeps the edges of the mask from rubbing when with face movement. This is great because when I wear a mask for a long time, I get rub marks on my face, the cushion helps that out a lot.
Double elastics- The double elastic straps hold the mask securely to the face while walking, moving, and talking. As a bonus, they don't pull hair out. These elastics go all the way around the head instead of around the ears. There is no tieing at all. Each mask has built-in adjusters so everyone can get the perfect fit. My husband and my 14-year-old daughter have very different sized heads but, they both get a super comfortable secure fit.
Coverage- The N95 mask offers full nose and mouth coverage with no gapping with face movement. The coverage means I'm not tugging and adjusting to keep it in place.
Fit- It fits securely to my face but it comes out from my mouth allowing awesome breathing room. One thing I do not like about wearing a mask is that it covers my mouth making me feel like I am limited in my breathing. With the N95 mask, it doesn't touch my lips at all and alleviates all of the stress.
Individually Wrapped- Each N95 Respirator mask is individually wrapped to keep them clean and safe for each use. Other masks we have gotten are bulk wrapped. I love the individual wrapping. They are perfect for a pocket, purse, backpack, lunchbox, etc.
If you are looking for a great disposable mask, the N95 Respirator Mask is available on First Aid Kit Survival. Check out the site and their Protect Life social pages to see their huge product selection and deals.
