I love the holidays and the cool gadgets that I get to find out about. Small appliances are awesome gifts for grown-ups. This is an oddball one but my dream small appliance is a toaster oven. I have been dropping hints like crazy. I even made an excuse to want to check out air fryers (that I already have 2 of) so I could bring it up while we were in the aisle.

 "Oh look, a toaster oven, I have always wanted one but I've never had anything bigger than a 4 slice bagel toaster.- Wouldn't that look great where we used to keep the coffee maker"? We'll find out in about 10 days if my not so subtle hints worked, I'll keep you updated!

Something else that is super awesome for the kitchen (or any other room, really) is the automatic paper towel dispenser from Innovia. It's an awesome gift idea for under $100 and will be an asset to any room.





I see automatic paper towel dispensers everywhere. We use them at the restaurant I work in, the hospital, gas stations, and pretty much every public restroom has them nowadays. It's super convenient to do hands-free automatic dispensers so you don't have to re-germ your hands pushing buttons or pulling levers.

Have you ever walked into a public restroom and noticed that the paper towels are already hanging down? Did you ever think about that paper towel and how long it's been hanging there? What germs might already be on there? You never know, some little kid was probably blowing on it to watch it flap in the breeze while mom is using the potty. Or headbutted by someone wrestling their toddler over to the changing station. Or shoulder bumped 5 times by 5 different people that didn't wash their hands, to begin with! Wow, I'm grossing myself out. I feel better drying my hands on my pant legs than I do use that hanging paper towel now :(

This is such a great gift idea for so many people. Could you imagine how much easier it would be to get paper towels when you are busy parenting? One sleeping baby in one arm and a toddler with spill standing in front of you. A wave of the hand and you have the towels you need to get the mess cleaned up! Awesome!

What about the chef in the house? No need for contaminating your hands. Wash and dry without having to touch the paper towel rack again!
