Fruity Dessert Nachos Recipe

Have you ever been craving something sweet, but wanted nachos at the same time? The crunchy chips, the creamy sour cream, the crisp veggies... My mouth is watering just thinking about some yummy nachos.

Really, though, sometimes you just need something sweet. My mom sometimes deep fries her tortillas for tacos, so I figured it wouldn't be a far stretch to cut some flour tortillas into chips and toss them in some hot oil. Sprinkling cinnamon and sugar on them really takes them to yummy town.

I don't know about you, but when I make desserts, I love using fruits. Strawberries, raspberries, bananas, and kiwi make their appearance in these delicious dessert nachos, and to make them extra special, I used what my sister calls "fluffy stuff" - whipped cream and marshmallow fluff. And of course, some chocolate sauce to take it right over the top.

Seriously, these are some of the most delicious nachos I've ever made.

Fruity Dessert Nachos

Ingredients:

  • 2 flour tortillas
  • vegetable oil (for frying)
  • chopped fruits (banana, strawberry, raspberry, & kiwi)
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tub whipped cream
  • 1 container marshmallow fluff
  • chocolate sauce

Fluffy Stuff Topping:

  1. Combine whipped cream with marshmallow fluff. That's it!

For Nachos:

  1. Cut tortillas into quarters and deep fry in 350° oil until golden brown (about 15 seconds per side)
  2. Sprinkle cinnamon & sugar on chips while still hot
  3. Top with chopped fruits, "fluffy stuff," and chocolate sauce
  4. Enjoy!
