The reason why I love this so much is my girls had crazy legs from the start. They would kick and flop and roll and their blankets would always end up in a pile next to them. I was always worried about them being cold of even worse, covering their faces.
It was such a happy moment when they learned how to cover themselves back up. With Cassie, it took awhile. She can cover up so shes not cold but, she's 10 and still yells for me to tuck her in and "Fix the blankets right". It's really kind of cute.
For babies, making sure the stay comfortable and warm without kicking off the covers can be tricky. I know I woke up to check on girls and touched a cold leg and instantly freaked out, more than once.
That freak out moment sends panic all over and checking breathing, grabbing blankets, turning on the light, and holding my breath all at one time, even if it was only a split second, is a terrified feeling, one that I never got over and able to write about with a wrench in my stomach right now.
That's why the Baby Sleep Nest is so much more than a wearable blanket. It will keep the baby nice and warm without getting her face covered up. It stays in place and doesn't slip off. It's like a sleeper but is a blanket, It's really awesome! I wish I had one one these with my girls.
It is so cozy just like a baby comforter but, has arm and head holes! It is so easy to use to, even for the middle of the night, half asleep diaper changes and feeding time. The zipper is a full length zipper so ther is no need to take her all the way out of the Sleep Nest to change the diaper.
The zipper is so nice and very well thought in the design of this product. For starters, it zips from the top and down instead of going from the bottom to top like clothes. It's very smooth and doesn't have to be jerked or tugged so that's definitely a plus. The flap that goes behind the zipper is perfect because it will never lay on the baby's skin. It is like the baby is cozy and wrapped up the entire time she is wearing it.
The shoulder snaps are easy and very secure. I love it that they hold the nest in place so it can't go up over the baby's face of off to the side, it fit's just like an out fit that is a blanket, just like it is supposed to! I love it and the whole concept!
